    Creative Crafts & Workshops is an informal learning environment where people have the opportunity to learn and develop crafting and artistic skills,

  2. Who can attend the workshops?

    Anybody

    Children under 16 year of age need to be with an Adult

  3. Do people need to have crafting or artistic skills?

    No, people can join workshops at basic skills

     

  4. How often will the workshops run?

    Creative Crafts & Workshops are open from Monday to Saturday and run 3 sessions every day, see our workshop dates page and calendar for details

    Creative Crafts & Workshops offer a mobile service too.

    We aim to reach out to our community by organizing “girls” night out, Hen parties and Birthday Parties

  5. How long are the workshops?

    The workshops will run for 2 hours per session, delegates are advised to arrive 15 minutes early so that the workshop can start promptly

  6. What type Crafting of workshops will there be available?

    At Creative Crafts & Workshops we are able to offer workshops on: greeting cards and gift tags, scrapbooking (preserving you favourite photos), scrapbooking on canvas (display with pride your art work) Textile Jewellery ( Make your Own jewellery using felting techniques etc) silk painting( learning the principles), decoupage (recycle your favourite wrapping paper or pictures), tissue art (use this techniques to turn your glass jar or bottle into a piece of art), decorative boxes, picture frames etc (why not make your own gifts for Christmas, Birthdays and Mother / Father’s day), encaustic art (a rewarding art technique you will never forget), glass painting/ Ceramic (turn you unwanted glass jars into candle holder or jewellery jars), sugar craft ( with this workshop your cupcakes will never look boring), water colours (make your greetings card that extra special), candle craft (decorate you plain candles with transfers or acrylic paints), soap craft (easy steps to make your family bathroom smell perfectly), fabric painting and knot dying (turn you plain T-shirts into art work), ceramic and glass painting (your plain mug and bawls will never look the same again), terracotta pot painting (your garden will be turn into bursts of colour this summer) Sweet Tree, Wire Flowers, Felt purses, Lampshades and more...

  7. Do I need to bring any materials?

    No,

    But you can bring special adjusted tools depending on your needs,

  8. Will there be a follow up workshop?

    Yes, for example, you have attended a greetings card workshop, you next step will be to attend a scrapbooking workshop so that you learn new techniques and 3D applications,

  9. How much will the workshops cost?

    We have made the workshops very affordable, we are including all the material and refreshments

    Yes,  delegates will receive a certificate of attendance,  on some of the workshops

  11. Are there any hidden costs?

    No absolutely not, however Creative Crafts & Workshops are packed with Fabulous hand made products from local artist and Craft products you may take this opportunity to gift shop at your convenience,

  12. Who will be the tutor?

    Creative Crafts & Workshop Owner Adriana Fernandes-Bowyer local to Reading, Adriana has a vast experience in delivering workshops in Reading Borough and further a field, Adriana has a Teaching qualification in adult and further education 7307 and in Encaustic Art.

  14. What are Creative Crafts Workshops aims?

    Our aims are: to reach and embrace our community by offering creative activities that will enhance peoples self esteem, to bring rural communities under one roof,

    minimise isolation by offering continuance and regular crafting workshops, to work towards building a strong presence in the community as a place for people to meet.

    An informal quality of teaching however a rewarding activity enjoyed by all,

    our aim is to retain creativity within our ever changing world.

Mobile Workshops

  1. Does Creative Crafts & Workshops do home / venue visit workshops?

    Yes,

    Creative Crafts & workshops have also a mobile Crafting workshop service minimum delegates required  8 and maximum is 12,

    other numbers of delegates by arrangement only

    You can also Purchase our Party in a Box ( each box contains enough materials for 6 people)
